With the passing of Sigurd Wallin last year, the last of the Cherry Grove Swedes was gone, as far as known. I will not try to duplicate the two good histories of Cherry Grove by Mary Kurtz and Birgetta Nixon, but hope to share my recollections of the traditions and culture of the community.
