Sunden, W., Store Clerk — Portland — born in Ny parish, Värmland, on14 June1867. As a young boy he moved to Dalby parish where he was brought up. He immigrated to America in 1887 and first settled in Duluth, Minnesota, where he was employed in a rug and drapery store until 1889, at which time he moved to Tacoma, Washington. There he took a job in a similar store. In 1891 he moved to Portland, Oregon. During 1895-1908 he was in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and in 1899 in Seattle, Washington, where he was employed at Frederick & Nelson’s furniture store. That same year he also took a trip to Alaska. In the year 1900 he took a job as a sales person at the large furniture firm Wm. Gadsby & Sons at Washington and 1st Street in Portland, Oregon and he has had this position ever since. Sunden owns a home, 792 E. Madison Street. He is an accomplished speaker, belongs to Linnea and the Royal Arcanum and is an honorary member of the singing club Columbia. He has been married since 21 January 1893 to Ida Larson from Södermanland.
