Halverson, Nels C. – salesclerk, wood products specialist – Portland – born in Vemdalen parish, Härjedalen, on September 26, 1862. Immigrated to America in 1889 and arrived in Portland, Oregon, on Midsummer Day. Began working at a sawmill, and advanced to foreman and continued in this position for about ten years, after which he got a position as inspector at the Oregon Short Line. During the last ten years he has had a position as superintendent for Pacific Export & Lumber Co. Mr. Halverson owns several houses and resides at no. 202 Graham Ave. He is a member of Linnea. He married (his second marriage) Hulda Anderson from Mjölby, Östergötland on May 21, 1908. He has a grown daughter, Gerda.
