Carlson, Arthur

Carlson, Arthur B., printer – Portland – born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 29, 1889. At the age of seven he moved with his parents to Brainerd. After a short stay they continued to Little Falls, where Mr. Carlson stayed until 1900. He then moved to Washington State. After living in Seattle and Everett for a couple of years, he moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1902. In Portland he worked as a printer, and early in 1904 he opened his own business at 6th & Hoyt St. Later he moved his business to Front St, Salmon St. and eventually to a more spacious location at no. 49 ½ 1st St. Mr. Carlson is a member of the Woodmen of the World, the Artisans, Linnea, Scandia and the Swedish National Organization. He married Victoria Lindholm from Boring, Oregon, in 1909. They have one child.
