Description:

Charles Lindberg is one of a handful of Swedes who, while living in the Alaska Territory, were adjudged to be insane by a jury of their peers. When people were found to be guilty of insanity while in the Alaska Territory they would be sent to the Morningside Hospital in Russellville (now a part of Portland), Oregon. Charles was found to be insane in 1905 and spent over 31 years at Morningside.
