Thim, Gustaf Mauritz Oscar Tycho, Store Clerk — Portland — born in Voxtorp parish, Kalmar County, on 29 April 1887. He studied at Kalmar Elementary High School from 1898 to 1903 at which time he moved to Stockholm. There he stayed until 1907. While there he was employed partly at a grocery store and insurance store and partly had his own agency. On 1 January 1907 he traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark and on 11 June that year to America where he arrived in Portland on 2 July. Since April 1908 he has been employed at John Ecklund’s store as manager of the wholesale department of his wine shop. Thim is a member of Linnea.
